Leah Malamut, PhD
Academic Advisor
A bit about Leah...
- Where is your hometown? Philadelphia, PA
- What’s one highlight from your first semester of college? Exploring Chicago with my new friends!
- What do you wish you’d known when you started college? Your college major doesn’t determine your whole career. It’s best to follow your strengths and passions because you never know where life will take you!
- What do you like about advising first and second year students? I like helping students develop the skills and tools that they will need as upperclassmen and beyond.
- What’s your favorite thing about Loyola? Lake Michigan! I love that the campus is on the lakeshore.
- What’s your favorite thing about Chicago? There is so much to do all the time, no matter what you’re interested in. It’s also much easier to get around compared to other cities; the CTA can be tricky, but it’s definitely worth the effort!
- What do you like to do in your spare time? I like going to the movies and visiting different Chicago neighborhoods (especially to try new foods). I also enjoy watching Formula 1 racing and supporting my Philadelphia sports teams (Go Birds!)
